Studio 187 is a custom embroidery studio that provides custom embroidery. Hours are by appointment only. Geri accepts single and bulk orders, and also encourages customers to supply their own garments and items. Geri is happy to embroider logos, designs or monograms on all types of products such as shirts, hoodies, jeans, wall hangings, totebags, towels, linens, pillows, robes, jackets and handkerchiefs. Check out the website to see a gallery of the Geri's work. There is no middeman or promotional order taker. This is a custom shop where you actually work directly with the embroiderer.

How long have you been in business?
A lifelong hand embroiderer, with 20 years of a successful IT career, equals a very long time!
What is your primary product or service?
Custom embroidery and monogramming on home decor and apparel. I accept customer-supplied items for personalizing, and no minimum order requirements. One piece is my specialty, as well as multiple runs for corporate and team apparel.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I started hand embroidery at a very young age. After leaving corporate IT work, I wanted to find something else I could do while raising my family. Computerized embroidery was a natural marriage of my skills. In a very short time, I was acknowledged by the embroidery industry and appeared many times in the ASI Stitches Magazine for my skill and passion. Presently, I am an Advisory Board member of Stitches Magazine, and my work was featured on their August 2013 cover page, in addition to other work which can be found via my website.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I LOVE what I do and can think of nothing better than completing a custom embroidery order that fulfills my customer's expectations. I do all the embroidery myself. None of it is outsourced, and my customers can always speak to me directly about their project and embroidery needs.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I work from a home studio which is why my hours are by appointment for local patrons. My availability is very flexible as I try and meet the needs of my customers always.

About 6 miles from Annapolis in Anne Arundel County in a town called Edgewater, Maryland. Convenient to Baltimore, DC, and surrounding areas. I also accept mail orders and work closely with work rooms and designers for upholstery, window treatments, pillows, and assorted home d�cor.
